About Us
Vision Statement
The United Church of Cookeville is an inclusive fellowship dedicated to seeking and serving Christ in humility and love.
Mission and Ministry
The congregation strives to be an accepting fellowship in Christ through weekly gathering times that enable the group to be attentive, caring, and supportive to the needs of members, visitors, and the community as a whole. The United Church of Cookeville will be active and visible in the community through hands-on service, giving of funds, and availability of facilities for community use. The congregation will be a safe haven from hypocrisy and condemnation and make everyone welcome at Christ’s table.
Core Values
Worshiping God
We are a church where everyone is welcome to be part of the worship service and all are invited to receive communion.
Missions
We strive to serve others locally, nationally, and internationally through contributions of time, talent, and money.
Learning and Education
We foster the growth and learning of members through Christian education for all ages with a balance of traditional and contemporary viewpoints.
Fellowship
We believe the feeling of support and solidarity derived from Christian fellowship is an essential component to the life of the congregation.
Inclusiveness
We welcome all people to our worship and fellowship in Christ.
Being Part of the Larger Church
We believe in the principles that the United Church of Christ represent in this world and will actively participate in regional and national church activities.
Our Pastor

She subsequently worked as a chaplain at university hospitals in Durham
and Chapel Hill, North Carolina and, later, as a staff chaplain for a hospice agency in Georgia. She was ordained in the UCC denomination in 2004. In 2008, Paige and her husband relocated to the Knoxville area, where she served as a part-time associate at Church of the Savior, UCC.
